Delta is committed to returning our pilots to the property as soon as operationally feasible. Assuming some pilots will elect the MLOA or bypass option when officially offered recall, there will be a need to fill extra slots on short notice to ensure that the company’s requirements are met each month.

If you choose to put your name on the Short Notice List you are agreeing to report to training with less than 30 days notification.

If you are on the Short Notice List and are offered recall with less than 15 days of notification, you may decline without prejudice and stay on the list. However, if you are on the Short Notice List and are offered recall with 15 days or more notification and you decline, you will be removed from the list and cannot return to it. You will retain your recall right based on your seniority number.

You may put your name on and off this list as often as you like unless offered training.

Initial notification will be by phone, and you will have a minimum of two hours to respond. If you respond outside the two hour window, there is no guarantee your slot will still be available. The intent here is to not make you sit by the phone, but to give Delta the flexibility to fill an 11th hour requirement. Keeping your contact numbers current in DBMS will greatly reduce your anxiety.
